12:00 – Visit to Ruskeala Mountain Park.

The pearl of the park is the famous Marble Canyon. A huge bowl, carved by human hands in an array of marble layers, is half filled with the purest water of an emerald hue. It is framed by gentle and steep cliffs rising up to 25 m above the surface of the lake. The canyon, surrounded by marble walls, attracts with its beauty at any time of the year. Marble mining was carried out here in the XVIII and XIX centuries, it was from here that marble was delivered for the Marble and Mariinsky Palaces, St. Isaac’s Cathedral. The emerald Lake and sheer marble cliffs framed by Karelian forests are the first thing you will see when you enter the lands of the mountain park.

Here are the most interesting options for how you can spend time in Ruskeala Park on your own:

• Walk along the paths around the Marble Canyon.
• visit the secret paths of the land of Kalevala.

08:30 Eviction. Suburban bus tour to Peterhof “300 years of the fountains of Peterhof”. Visit to the Lower Park of the Museum Reserve. Peterhof is the capital of fountains!  This is a magnificent country residence of the Russian tsars, founded by Peter I in 1705 on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. The park with an area of 102.5 hectares is decorated with about 150 fountains the fountain “Samson tearing the lion’s mouth” the main fountain of the park, chess mountain, fountains of the cracker “Oak”, “Umbrella”, “Christmas trees”, “Water road”, “Sofas”, etc.

The most popular point of the Lower Park is the shore of the Gulf of Finland. From it you can see Lakhta City and the Kronstadt Naval Cathedral in the distance.
